1. How did you (Coach) get involved as a coach for ICPC competitions? What year did you become involve as a coach?
I got involved since 2010 when I received an invitation from another university. I already knew the programming competitions because since 2004 I am involved in the Computer Olympiad and the same students that I had already prepared in high school are those who later started to participate in the ICPC.
2. Is there a contest problem your team is especially proud of solving? What insight helped your team create the solution?
A little over a year ago, in the Mexico regional contest there was a number theory problem that mostly nobody solved. We are quite happy about solving it because we were able to beat teams with people who went to math olympiads and such, when none of our team is majoring in math or anything related.
3. How did you come up with your team name?
We saw that every year there were always team names that followed some patterns. For example, team names that contained: 404, #define, #include, :v, ++, etc. So we thought we should design a name that contain all of them. That how we came with: #defineTriLCI(404.0)++ :v
