The ACM-ICPC World Finals will begin in a few days.

The top 120 teams from six continents will soon arrive in St. Petersburg for a chance to win prizes and bragging rights.

Nearly 30,000 students and faculty from 91 countries competed in this year’s local and regional competitions. The world finalists truly represent the cream of the crop.

ICPC staff and volunteers are ready welcome the teams to the host site, St. Petersburg National Research University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics (ITMO)

The city is a hot spot for scientific innovation. Teams of St. Petersburg students have won the title of World Champions six times. ITMO has won a record four championships, including the 2012 title.

St. Petersburg surely will show the world’s brightest problem-solvers a great time. The finals host city is known as the cultural capital of Russia. St. Petersburg is home to world-renowned ballet, architecture, music and much more. ICPC participants are coming to this beautiful city during the peak of its most beautiful season – the White Nights.
