Coaches entered the contest floor thirty minutes into the contest.

Teams worked through the practice problems as their coaches took photos.

Stanford University solved the first problem of the Dress Rehearsal, earning the first blue balloon, a “First To Solve" circular balloon and a  “First Problem Solved" heart balloon.

Nearly half of the teams has blue balloons, others have yellow balloons and very few have red balloons.

ICPC staff and volunteers are mitigating technical problems and helping teams understand instructions. Some teams haven’t received the printouts they need to review codes with bugs. While one member of the team is on the computer, the other two members can review the code to fix errors.

The session started a half-hour after the original 9:30 start time.
