The 2013 ACM-ICPC World Finals Host St. Petersburg National Research University in IT, Mechanic and Optics (ITMO) has won a record fifth world championship within a 10-year period.
ITMO solved 10 out of 11 questions correctly.
This is ITMO’s second repeat championship. The university previously earned the trophy in 2004, 2008, 2009 and 2012.
The following teams also won gold medals: Shanghai Jiao Tong University, The University of Tokyo and National Taiwan University.
In 2012, Shanghai Jiao Tong University took 4th place. The University of Tokyo improved from 11th place. National Taiwan University placed 18th last year.
