The contestants are here and had a full day today, starting with IBM Tech Trek.
After learning about cognitive computing from the hosts, participants had a chance to enjoy IBM’s hospitality in the ICPC Zone right outside the Cosmos. The fun included the chance to create a graffiti wall as well as a burger lunch.
Some participants took the chance for an interview with ICPCNews, and earned an ICPCNews T-shirt. Others worked on Quest challenges.
Meanwhile regional contest directors wrapped up their planning meetings in time to come to the opening ceremony.
The opening ceremony featured welcoming speeches, awards and a great line up of entertainment. Read more in our post on the opening.
Tomorrow, things take a more serious turn, as we start the day with our Dress Rehearsal – a chance for the teams to see the contest floor for the first time, and to try out the submission system. All the behind the scenes team including judging, systems and analytics will be practicing as well. Here’s a short video about what ICPCAnalytics does.
