In today’s world finals of the International Collegiate Programming Contest, teams battled their way through a problem set of unprecedented difficulty for five grueling hours. The first problem fell in just 14 minutes, as the University of Warsaw turned in an early solution that led to their placement in the gold medal category, taking 4thplace. The University of Tokyo took 3rdplace, solving 9 problems. Massachusetts Institute of Technology also solved 9, but did it faster, taking 2ndplace overall. Moscow State University solved the most problems – 10, and the team took top honors for the second year. Here are all the medal winners.
