World finalists can spice up their work stations with their own good luck charms and mascots.

In some stations, stuffed animals sit next to calculators on top of laptops.

The University of Florida’s charm is a light blue stuffed elephant with white tusks.

A white bunny and pink stuffed toy sit in the middle of the University of Tokyo’s work station.

A tan, stuffed bear with a red bow adds a calming presence to the Samara State Aerospace University.

Two hours into the competition, ITMO, National Taiwan University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University continue to lead the pack by solving 6 problems.

Problems I and K seem to be the most challenging to the teams. None of the 120 teams have attempted either question.
